- Client: The individual or organization hiring a skip from the Company.
- Skip: The container provided by the Company for waste disposal.
- Contract: The agreement between the Company and the Client as outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
2. Service Provision
2.1 Booking and Confirmation
Clients can book a skip through our online platform or by contacting our customer service team. A confirmation detailing the booking specifics will be provided upon successful reservation.
2.2 Delivery and Collection
Our team will deliver the skip to the specified location on the agreed date and time. Upon completion of the service period, we will collect the skip. It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that access is available for both delivery and collection.
3. Client Responsibilities

Permits and Permissions
The Client must obtain any necessary permits or permissions required for placing the skip on public or private property. The Company is not liable for any fines or penalties resulting from unauthorized skip placement. -
Proper Use
The skip must be used solely for the disposal of non-hazardous waste. The Client must not overload the skip beyond its capacity or dispose of prohibited items. -
Safety Measures
The Client must ensure that the area around the skip is safe and clear of obstacles to prevent accidents during delivery and collection.
4. Permitted and Prohibited Waste
4.1 Permitted Waste
The following items are generally permitted in our skips:
- Household waste
- Construction debris
- Garden waste
- Non-hazardous industrial waste
4.2 Prohibited Waste
The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Hazardous materials, including chemicals, asbestos, and batteries
- Electrical equipment and appliances
- Medical waste
- Flammable or explosive substances
5. Payment Terms
The Client agrees to pay the fees associated with the skip hire service as outlined in the booking confirmation. Payments must be made in full before the collection of the skip. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and bank transfers.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule their booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery time without incurring additional charges. Cancellations made within 48 hours of delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.
7. Liability
7.1 Company Liability
The Company is not liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of our skip hire services, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
7.2 Client Liability
The Client is responsible for ensuring that the skip is placed in an appropriate location and that all necessary safety measures are in place. The Client indemnifies the Company against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the usage of the skip.
8. Insurance
While we take precautions to ensure our services are reliable, the Client is advised to have appropriate insurance coverage for any potential damage or loss that may occur during the placement and use of the skip.
9. Data Protection
We collect and process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. The Client's information is used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hornsey Skip Hire operates. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
11. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Force Majeure
The Company will not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wars, or government restrictions.
13. Severability

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company regarding the skip hire service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

By hiring a skip from Hornsey Skip Hire, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
